Gypsy Pistoleros To Record Live Album In August
June 30, 2010
THE GYPSY PISTOLEROS to record live album at The Bulldog Bash 24, on August 14th, 2010.
Beautiful Disaster Records is delighted to announce that the world’s greatest flamenco sleaze glam band ever, THE GYPSY PISTOLEROS, are to record their August 14th appearance at The Bulldog Bash for an Australasian special release live album.
The Pistoleros are “a thrill-a-minute collection of melodic eye-patch swagger that smells of exotic spices and forbidden concubines. The Gypsy Pistoleros sound like Hanoi Rocks, if Hanoi Rocks were sultans and snakecharmers.”Hot on the heels of their record breaking fourth consecutive appearance at Rocklahoma this year (the only band to have played all four events), the Gypsy Pistoleros set is expected to feature a couple of brand new songs in advance of the recording of their early-2011-expected new album “Duende”.
Reviews of the band’s 2010 anthology album “The World’s Greatest Flamenco Sleaze Glam Band Ever”, featuring classic tracks like ‘Chicas Peligrosa’, ‘Welcome to The Hotel de la Muerte’, ‘Jet, Jet, Jet Boyz’ and ‘Sangre de las Rosas’, describe the Pistoleros as “elegantly wasted alcoholic sleaze warriors of the glam apocalypse, tearing through classic tracks with all the style and grace of a Tijuana Hells Angels gang with a score to settle”.
There is no doubt that their appearance at England’s largest biker festival will capture all the danger and magic of the band’s recent triumphant US shows.
Preorders for the new album, to be titled “Chk Chk, Boom” will be available from August 5th from www.therockpit.net, with the album expected to ship late September.
