March 6, 2013
Hair I Go Again, a documentary currently in production about the determination and failures of a former hair band chasing their dreams, launches its first ever Kickstarter campaign on March 8th, 2013. Producers and former bandmates Kyle Kruger and Steve McClure will use the crowdfunding platform to gain the necessary dollars for the final stage of the film’s production. Fans can contribute to the campaign by visiting www.hairigoagain.com.
Hair I Go Again chronicles the improbable journey of two lifelong friends who, facing mid-life, ultimately realize their mortality and set out to reform their hair band from the 80’s. Their ultimate goal — perform as an opening act for one of their heavy metal idols. The film features candid interviews with some of the most influential musicians and industry professionals in the business.
“It’s always been important to us that the fans take part in the process. They’ve been involved since the film’s inception. Together, we can finally make this dream a reality,” says McClure.
The Kickstarter campaign will offer numerous reward packages geared specifically towards the music fan. Items such as autographed memorabilia, musical gear, CDs, DVDs, clothing, personal Skype sessions and private concerts from featured musicians will be included as rewards for various donations. Confirmed participants include Keel, Lillian Axe, Y&T, Frank Hannon (Tesla), FNA Records, Roxx Gang, Helix, Beasto Blanco (featuring Chuck Garric of Alice Cooper), Luc Carl (SiriusXM Hair Nation), Rita Rae Roxx (Once Upon a Rock Star) and many more. Exclusive Hair I Go Again merchandise, including t-shirts, guitar picks, autographed scripts and DVD pre-orders will also be offered. In addition, every donation will receive a complimentary, 16 song MP3 compilation as a participation reward.
