Danger Danger:
Returning to the UK for the first time since their set at Nottingham’s Firefest back in 2012, Danger Danger will play their sole announced date on UK shores at Hair Metal Heaven.
Wikipedia states in part the following about Danger Danger (with slight edits): “Danger Danger is an American hard rock band, formed in 1987 in Queens, New York. The band enjoyed moderate success in the U.S. with their debut album Danger Danger… The album spawned two hits with “Naughty Naughty” and “Bang Bang,” with the former gaining a spot in MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball. The band went on tour opening for KISS, Alice Cooper, Extreme and Warrant. After that, the band went on to record their follow-up in Florida, releasing Screw It! in 1991. The album spawned two other hits with “Monkey Business” and “I Still Think About You” and again they went on tour with KISS.”
Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its concert review of Danger Danger‘s performance at the Rock N Skull Festival on October 29, 2017: “… there was a large crowd on hand to see Danger Danger and the audience appeared really into them… As expected, [Ted] Poley‘s trademark enthusiasm was on full display and he got lots of cheers from the audience… Overall, I think Danger Danger put on a good performance for most people but for whatever reason — likely fatigue and not being into their songs that much — it is one set that I was not into and that had me wandering around shopping for CDs.”

Shiraz Lane:
Shiraz Lane‘s Biography on their Facebook page states in part (with slight edits):
“Shiraz Lane is a hard rocking group of five from Vantaa, Finland. Although originally germinated in 2011, the band genuinely blossomed in 2015 after the current desirable line-up was solidified. Shiraz Lane wreaks of creative variety, which resonates through their double-edged guitar sound (produced by lead guitarist Jani Laine and rhythm guitarist Miki Kalske), groovy-yet-solid ground pounding (Ana Willman drums & Joel Alex bass) and unmistakably high-soaring melodies chanted by lead singer Hannes Kett. Despite their youth (early twenties), they are already veterans of the underground circuit in their homeland and have developed a reputation for being uncompromising, loud, but most of all the genuine article. Although wearing inspiration and paying homage to their predecessors like Aerosmith and Guns N’ Roses, the “Big Guns” of Scandinavia such as members from The 69 Eyes, Amorphis, Children Of Bodom, Lordi and Sonic Syndicate have all described them as being one of the most entertaining bands they have seen in the underground music scene, bringing a fresh breeze to the table in terms of both music and live performance.
Shiraz Lane‘s debut five track EP named “Be The Slave Or Be The Change” was released in the spring of 2015. It was extremely well received by both public and the press and the single ”Mental Slavery” could even be described as an underground hit in the rock scene. Following this mini-record, the band has put out four EP supporting music videos, toured the biggest national summer festivals and played in Toronto (Canada) , Tokyo (Japan) & Wacken Open Air in Germany. In the autumn of 2015, Shiraz Lane embarked on an extensive national tour supporting Santa Cruz, playing the biggest club venues in Finland. The hype culminated with a worldwide record deal with Frontiers Music Srl, which was signed and sealed in September. Although music is not a matter of competition, it might be suitable to list winning the Hard Rock Rising 2014 and Wacken Metal Battle 2015 competitions as past merits…”
Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its review of Shiraz Lane’s “For Crying Out Loud” album which was released on April 15, 2016: “For Crying Out Loud is a fantastic representation of Finnish rock. Lead singer Hannes Kett‘s singing is a bit of a cross between high pitched Sebastian Bach and Scorpions‘ singer Klaus Meine. This album runs a bit of a gamut, from the poppy but infectious “Begging For Mercy” or “M.L.N.W.” to the dark and moody “Bleeding.” More to the sleazy side, the wicked “Wake Up” is built around a killer bass line and a strong performance from the whole band. “Mental Slavery” is another great song, sounding like both a throwback and modern at the same time. The same can be said for the album’s title track “For Crying Out Loud.” It really highlights Kett’s impressive vocal range.”

NiteRain:
The following is taken from NiteRain‘s official website (with slight edits):
“NiteRain is one of the leading voices of the new generation of rock n roll. Hailing from Scandinavia and bringing out their music all over the world.
Since 2012, the band has visited a number of countries with their new sound and explosive concerts. The band’s live performances are well known for being a powerful mix of high energy, great songs and new sound, but still containing the good vibes from the 70’s and 80’s. This has taken the band on tour in countries like the Austria, Italy, Iceland, Finland, Sweden and Germany. Actually, the band has visited more than 13 countries in the past 3 years.
Their debut album “Crossfire” was released in November 2013, and received brilliant reviews. It was produced by Ronni Le Tekrø (TNT), and was later remixed by Bjørn Erik Pedersen (Studio Whiteroom). The band is influenced by many different artists. The bluesbased rock from the 70’s, and 80’s is prominent, and artists such as Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC, GnR, and LA Guns could be mentioned among many others. In 2011, they were chosen as the support act for LA Guns‘ Scandinavian tour. This resulted in another invitation to a full European tour in 2012, which turned out to be a success for the band. NiteRain has also opened for other well established bands such as Steel Panther (US), TNT (NOR), and Sebastian Bach (US) among others.
In 2015, they also performed on the main stage of the Tons of Rock Festival in Norway. Touring in Sweden, Italy, Norway and Germany was successful in 2015, with sold out shows. NiteRain played the Norway Rock Festival and won Sweden Rock‘s band competition in 2016, with strong competition from great bands from all over the world! Successful shows from the summer of 2016 led readers in the music magazine Gaffa to vote NiteRain as the most entertaining live band of the year.
NiteRain released their second album Vendetta in November 2016, followed by great reviews and a full European tour in countries including Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Estonia and Latvia.”
Sleaze Roxx recently interviewed NiteRain‘s frontman Sebastian Tvednæs who stated the following about the group’s goals with the release of the new album Vendetta: “We want ‘Vendetta’ to be a door opener and a stepping stone to the next whatever it may be. The goal is to be bigger and do greater things than the previous year. So far, we accomplished that since the very beginning. We are four guys with guts and balls and a real passion for what we do. NiteRain wants to get on a bigger tour with a huge headliner. That way, we can communicate with the world easier. That is one of the goals for 2017.”
