The following message was posted on Helix‘s Facebook page earlier today:
“Two years ago I released the VOLLMER album “Get Yer Hands Dirty“. It had mostly cover songs on the disc with the exception of “When the Bitter’s Got the Better” and the title cut “Get Yer Hands Dirty”, which were both original songs. The album was produced by Juno/Grammy award winner Gavin Brown, who also played drums. Daryl Gray played bass, Sean Kelly played guitar, Matt Weidinger played keyboards, and Cheryl Lescom sang background vocals.
I was pretty proud of this album, but it sold shit. However, I think in years to come this disc will become a collector’s item. You can still pick it up through the merch section of Planet Helix.”
