Helix holding ‘Tristan’s Journey Rockathon Fundraiser’ with acoustic performances on February 27th
Canadian veteran rockers Helix are raising funds for a boy named Tristan Roby who was rendered paralyzed due to a hit and run motor vehicle accident back in 2019. Helix are holding the Tristan’s Journey Rockathon Fundraiser throughout the month of February with acoustic one song performances from a number of artists including Helix, Lee Aaron, Danko Jones and many more on February 27, 2021 starting at 5:00 pm EST. Helix‘s goal is to raise $12,000 and donations can be made via the band’s website.
The following message was posted on Helix‘s Facebook page back on January 22, 2021 (with slight edits):
“Wow! Sandy Morton just volunteered to deliver all HELIX OLD SCHOOL t-shirts purchased in London to raise money for “Tristan’s Journey“. Tristan’s Journey is to raise money for Tristan Roby, the 17 year old boy paralyzed by a hit & run driver. Money raised will go to get Tristan stem cell treatment in Michigan.

We are also going to have a Brian Vollmer telethon on sorts. Many of my friends in the music business have generously pledged to “donate” a video of themselves playing one song each. I’ve talked with Jay Paneseiko (my webmaster) about promoting this on his Studio 73 channel . We’re going to have a donate button the night we air the videos. So far committed:
Helix
Syre
Todd Kerns of Slash / Age of Electric / Toque
Sarah Smith
Bobnoxious
Al Harlow of Prism
Lee Aaron
Ray Lyell
Danko Jones
and more to come!”
