HELIX POSTS VIDEOS OF CLASSIC CHRISTMAS SONGS

Canadian hard rockers Helix have posted brand new videos of the classic Christmas songs “Silent Night” and “Jingle Bells” at www.youtube.com/user/vollmerbaby. The two songs appeared on Helix’s 2008 Christmas release ‘A Heavy Mental Christmas’ Also, anyone who buys the band’s new CD ‘Vagabond Bones’ from Planet Helix (www.planethelix.com) will get their name entered into a draw for a BC Rich Warlock Guitar autographed by Helix!

Helix vocalist Brian Vollmer has issued the following statement, “Last week Thane Silliker dropped by Planet Helix to pick up the new CD. While he was at the house he asked me if I’d like him to film a video for the new CD, as he had some background in working with a camera and wanted to pursue filming as a hobby. (Thane is also a motorcycle enthusiast and has driven all over North Amercia on his bike, breaking a lot of cross country distance records in the process. This summer he’s driving to Labrador City with Derek Botten of Bob FM and filming the trip.)

I explained to Thane that Brent was going to take a crack at filming/editing some Youtube videos for the new CD. I didn’t want two people making a video for the same song, so I asked Thane if he’d make a couple for the Christmas CD. I wanted him to show Lynda’s over-the-top Christmas decorations here at Planet Helix and to give a general feel of what it’s like to be at Planet Helix at Christmas Time.
