Helix Prepare Acoustic And Compilation Albums

August 15, 2010

Helix vocalist Brian Vollmer has revealed that the band is working on both a compilation album and a new acoustic CD.

In a posting at Planethelix.com Vollmer states, “We’re presently putting together a CD of Helix tunes that were released between 2000-2010. Actually, if you want to be technically correct, three of the songs are going to be from my solo CD. The songs on this CD will probably be: I’m a Live Frankenstein, X-Ray Eyes, King of the Hill, Get Up!, Fill Your Head With Rock, Cyberspace Girl, The Animal Inside, Make ’em Dance, and Hung Over (But Still Hanging In). Bonus tracks will be The William Tell Overture and our remake of It’s a Long Way to the Top if you wanna Rock n’ Roll.

Then in September we’ll be recording an acoustic CD of all the Helix hits: No Rest for the Wicked, Heavy Metal Love, Rock You, Make Me Do (Anything You Want), Gimme Good Lovin’, Wild in the Streets, Dream On, Good to the Last Drop, That Day is Gonna Come, and a cover of Jame’s Leroy’s ‘Touch of Magic’.”
