“Folsom Prison Blues” is one of the most notorious songs of the legendary Johnny Cash, originally recorded in 1956 and released by Sun Records in 1957. Cash received uproarious applause and emphatic whistles as he played “Folsom Prison Blues” during a live concert for inmates at San Quentin State Prison on February 24, 1969. It’s this timeless spirit of rebellion and anti-conformity that inspired JETBOY to release their own version of the famous tune. JETBOY’s “Folsom Prison Blues”
And what better way to promote new material than to play it live for the masses? Jetboy have lined up a number of summer festival appearances including the Haight Street Fair (6/8, San Francisco, California), Rocklahoma Fest (7/10, Pryor, Oklahoma), and the South Texas Rock Fest (7/11, Boerne, Texas) at which the boys will play with old friends and 80’s rocker legends Bret Michaels, Sebastian Bach, Queensryche, Skid Row, Dokken, Tesla, Cinderella, Living Colour, Ratt and Lita Ford just to name a few.. Don’t like the idea of seeing a condensed festival set list? Don’t worry, Jetboy will continue on a headlining tour throughout the rest of the summer.
