John 5 reveals Mötley Crüe have handful of tracks which are probably 98% done, heavy & aggressive

Mötley Crüe consisting of lead vocalist Vince Neil, bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee continue to forge ahead without guitarist Mick Mars and with the latter’s replacement John 5. The group has been working on new material with producer Bob Rock who has produced some of hard rock and heavy metal’s biggest selling albums including Metallica‘s self-titled record (aka as The Black Album) (1991) and Mötley Crüe‘s Dr. Feelgood (1989).

In a recent interview with Eddie Trunk on Sirius XM’s Trunk Nation, John 5 indicated (as per Ultimate Classic Rock):

“The songs are fucking heavy. … I sound like a little excited kid right now, but they’re heavy and they’re mean. I can’t wait for them to come out. I’m just so excited.”

“There’s some riffs that are heavier than anything that’s on Shout At The Devil.”

“I don’t know if they’re completely done but I would say they’re like probably 98%.”

“It has to mixed; it has to be mastered. … All I can tell you is that it’s heavy and it’s aggressive, and I think people are going to dig it because, talking as a fan, it’s fucking badass.”
