John Corabi declares 0% chance of him returning to Mötley Crüe and denies any “secret” band rehearsals
Former Mötley Crüe frontman John Corabi has decided to put a number of rumours to rest. Corabi was in Mötley Crüe from 1992 to 1996, and from time to time, there are rumours that he might reunite with his former Crüe bandmates, Nikki Sixx (bass), Tommy Lee (drums) and Mick Mars (guitar).
The Metal Den recently reported that according to an anonymous source, Sixx, Lee and Mars held a series of rehearsals in Los Angeles late last month that they kept under wraps from current Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil. For the very first time in decades, it was reported that Corabi performed with Sixx, Mars and Lee. The Metal Den also reported that a “shocking story broke last week, claiming Sixx issued an ultimatum to Vince Neil that he must lose a significant amount of weight for the comeback tour or he would be fired and replaced by Corabi.”
The following message was posted on Corabi‘s Facebook page earlier today:
“Ok Gang,
I’ve recieved a TON of messages from a lot of you who have unfortunately fallen for this “CROCK OF SHIT!!!!” Here’s the real deal…
I can categorically state here once and for all that the chances of my “return” to Motley are 0%….
1) There is No Way, Nikki ordered an ultimatum to Vince, and used me as leverage!
2) There were absolutely ZERO secret rehearsals…
And 3) After my incredibly STUPID portrayal in “The Dirt Movie,” and the ludicrous shitty statements of one of the band members in regards to my contributions and lack of “writing talents,” yours truly is NOT even remotely interested in doing that again…Don’t buy into the “CLICK BAIT BULLSHIT!!!!!” I wish TOMMY, NIKKI, MICK, and VINCE the best on their tour, and their future endeavors!!!!
Out,
Crabby“
