JustGiving campaign started to raise funds for ex-Iron Maiden singer Paul Di’Anno’s overdue knee surgery
Former Iron Maiden lead vocalist Paul Di’Anno has had his share of health and financial issues over the years. A JustGiving fundraising campaign has been started by Cart & Horses to raise £20,000 for the singer’s long overdue knee surgery.
JustGiving‘s website indicates:
“Cart & Horses (birthplace of Iron Maiden) is proud to help out one of our family member in anyway we can. Paul waited for the past 5-6 years to get this surgery done but now it looks the only way to get it done and quick is privately. We are trying to raise funds in a bid to get him walking again. Any amount which could be donated would be greatly appreciated. Please donate as much as you can so we can make it happen for Paul. We know times are hard for everyone now but every little helps. If we all get together we can make this happen for him.
Please don’t email us through Crowdfunding site as we can’t get back to you unless you send us your email address or you can email us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you all for the support, STAY SAFE”
Wikipedia states the following in part about Di’Anno‘s personal life (with slight edits): “In February 2011, Di’Anno was convicted on eight counts of benefit fraud for claiming more than £45,000 under false pretenses. On 11 March 2011, he was jailed for nine months at Salisbury Crown Court. He however only served two of the nine months to which he was sentenced, being released early for good behaviour….
Di’Anno has been married five times and has six children. A crowdfunder was launched in January 2021 to help raise money for the singer’s knee surgery, following several years of poor health.”
