Kik Tracee Bass Player Releasing Solo Album

KIK TRACEE BASSIST RELEASING SOLO ALBUM:

February 1, 2008

Rob Grad, a member of two successful bands is getting ready to release his first solo cd. The Los Angeles based singer songwriter is a breath of fresh air to the music business. With a style all his own and instantly recognizable, he brings an all new sound to rock music. His influences include Lucinda Williams, Peter Gabriel, U2, and Shark Island. Take those artists and more, add a voice unlike anyone else, and you have Rob Grad.

Rob was the main songwriter and bass player for Kik Tracee. They were signed to RCA records right out of high school solely based on their live show. It is a time he remembers fondly. “This was all our first band. We got a record deal, got to tour the world and play with huge artists like Bon Jovi and Joe Walsh”.

In 1998 he formed a studio project called Superfine. Superfine recorded 2 cds, a 7″ vinyl single, and appeared on the 1999 soundtrack to the television show “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” which has sold over 200,000 copies to date.

“The album will be a reflection of where I’ve been, where I am now, all I’ve learned, and a glimpse into where I’m headed.” We dare you to listen to this these songs and not be moved by the raw emotion of what he is singing about. Cliff Williams of AC/DC is helping oversee production on the release. You can hear some rough mixes by going to www.myspace.com/robgrad. Rob Grad’s first solo cd entitled “No Apologies” will be available in the spring of 2008.
