King Lizard have released a video for “Just To Hear You Say It”, the latest from their recent studio album ‘A Nightmare Livin’ The Dream’.
Released on November 19th, 2012 through Bad Reputation Records, the Pedro Ferreira (The Darkness) produced ‘A Nightmare Livin’ The Dream’ was praised by Sleaze Roxx, placing on the website’s Top 10 of 2012. “While Axl Rose is busy revamping the Guns N’ Roses brand, and showing up late for everything except the buffet line (judging by his recent appearance), King Lizard have stepped in to fill the void with a hunger that obviously disappears after multi-million album sales,” stated the website about the follow-up to 2010’s ‘Viva La Decadence’.
Prior to the album’s release guitarist Niro Knox stated, “This album is much better sounding. The material is more mature, its got more ‘metal’ elements and therefore a bit more edge. We put much more effort in this one — we recorded the entire album as a demo first on our own and then went through the songs with the producer. Surprisingly he didn’t change almost anything, just added a few suggestions here and there on some songs that really helped sharpen the material.”
In September of last year King Lizard released their first live album entitled ‘Live Bites’. Recorded at The Water Rats Theatre in London on July 26th, 2013, ‘Live Bites’ is a loud and raw offering that collects seven tracks from the band’s ‘Viva La Decadence’ and ‘A Nightmare Livin’ The Dream’ albums.
“We’ve been been planning to do a live album, and then this show was recorded really well and even though it was a short set it was a great night — fast, furious and raw, a real take no prisoners show,” King Lizard vocalist Flash Roxx Sawyer told Sleaze Roxx. “So yeah, we decided to share it with everyone and to give everyone something to chew on until the third album is done.”
