Kings of Dust to search for new singer around Phoenix area while Michael Beck to continue elsewhere

The reasons for the split between Arizona, USA based Kings of Dust and founding member / lead vocalist Michael Beck have yet to be publicized but both sides are looking to move on without the other. Kings of Dust‘s remaining members consist of bassist Greg Chaisson (Badlands, Red Dragon Cartel), guitarist Ryan McKay and drummer Jimi Taft. Chaisson and Beck have a lot of history together as Chaisson assisted in recruiting Beck to temporarily replace Darren James Smith as the lead vocalist in Red Dragon Cartel back in or about March 2015.

Beck posted the following message on his Facebook page yesterday:

“Well friends, the rumors are true. I have parted ways as the vocalist for Kings of Dust. I’m very proud of that record and the friends I made because of it. I look forward to continuing this musical adventure elsewhere. Look forward to seeing you all soon!”

Chaisson on the other hand posted the following message on his Facebook account earlier today:

“Howdy everyone, things are just great here in the Kings of Dust camp. Thank you for all the positive comments and messages. Yes we will be looking for a new vocalist but for right now we are just going to keep writing songs for our second release. We will be trying to find someone here in the Phoenix and surrounding area. Feel free to send me a message if you are interested. I know the popular thing is to put together a project with guys from all over the country or world or universe but for us a band is a band and that means getting together in the same room and rehearsing and having a laugh or 10. Thanks again for your support, more news to follow 🤠”
