Luck was recently interviewed by Andrew Daly for Vinyl Writer Music and she described the KISS Cancer Goodbye Fundraiser as follows: “Hey Andrew! First of all, thanks for giving us this platform to bring awareness to this great cause. Ya know, basically, we’re gonna spend the evening raising money to help try to battle this horrible disease and making memories with you all while doing so. There will be unique auction items and music; it will all be streamed, so who knows what may happen! The event is fully privately funded, so every dollar that is raised will 100% go to the American Cancer Society‘s Real Men Wear Pink campaign, and Brian Bell is matching the first $15,000 raised!”
In terms of the guests that will be featured at the event, Luck indicated: “We definitely want to keep the entertainment light and focus on the task at hand, but we are thrilled to have fan favorites and Nashville locals; The Talismen, reuniting after Phil Shouse has been away with Accept and Ryan Cook and Jeremy Asbrock fresh off a tour with Ace Frehley (Zach Throne filled in for Phil while he was away). The Talismen will be playing a few tracks off of KISS’ Rock and Roll Over for us. We’ll have a few other folks joining, a bit of an all-star band, Ben Hans from Mr. Big, and maybe a couple of other folks. And last but obviously not least, of course, our dear friend Vinnie Vincent offered to volunteer his time and talent to help in any way he could. It’s a cause that’s very important to him as well.”
With respect to the type of items that will be available for auction at the KISS Cancer Goodbye Fundraiser, Luck stated: “Oh my gosh, there’s so much cool stuff! Eric Singer was kind enough to donate a drumhead signed by KISS, Bruce Kulick donated a beautiful guitar, Dale Walter is providing an Ace Frehley signed Les Paul out of his personal collection, and Loretta Carr is donating items; I mean, it just goes on, definitely something you don’t want to miss.”
