KISS DONATE INSTRUMENTS TO SCHOOL

December 10, 2009

Rockers Kiss have teamed up with TV executives to promote music education in U.S. schools – by donating instruments to students in Oklahoma.

The band formally presented 40 brand new musical instruments to youngsters at Wilson Middle School in Tulsa on Wednesday in conjunction with Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, which donates new and refurbished equipment to school and after-school music programs.

Frontman Paul Stanley went from class to class, enlisting students to be face-painted members of a Kiss mini-army.

The donation will air as part of a segment on hit ABC show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition – in which the band helps rebuild the home of a local music teacher.
