L.A. Guns Debut “You Better Not Love Me” Music Video

May 24, 2012

On June 5th L.A. Guns will release their first studio album in seven years through Deadline/Cleopatra Records, entitled ‘Hollywood Forever’. The band filmed an official video for the album’s first single, “You Better Not Love Me”, which can be viewed below.

With videographer Jack Foster behind the lens, the band shot indoor scenes for the video at the legendary Circus Disco in Hollywood. With an LED logo in the background, the band meshed theatrics with its expected rock energy on the big stage. Later, additional scenes were shot in L.A.’s colorful Little Mexico and the landmark Hollywood Forever cemetery. Videos for “Requiem (Hollywood Forever),” and “Aranga Nigre” were also shot and will be available later.

A recent SleazeRoxx.com review said ‘Hollywood Forever’ is “not a bombastic sounding album by any means, the majority of effort was placed in crafting songs with big hooks and infectious melodies. Hollywood Forever continues in the tradition of L.A. Guns’ post Man In The Moon material, where the sound is more contemporary hard rock than the classic sleaze that landed them on the map. While Hollywood Forever doesn’t knock it out of the park, it’s a very good record.”

‘Hollywood Forever’ is the fourth L.A. Guns record produced by Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Van Halen) and features Phil Lewis, Steve Riley, Stacey Blades and Scotty Griffin with a special appearance by former band member Kelly Nickels, who makes a special appearance, playing bass on “Venus Bomb” and providing backing vocals on other tracks.
