Lee Aaron Heading To Sweden Rock Festival

Lee Aaron Heading To Sweden Rock Festival

February 12, 2011

Lee Aaron, Canada’s original ‘Metal Queen’, is the latest artist announced to perform at the Sweden Rock 2011 festival. Sweden Rock 2011 will take place June 8 to 11th at Solvesborg, tickets to the festival are now available and can be purchased at www.swedenrock.com.

The original ‘Metal Queen’! This monicker was also the name of Lee Aaron’s 1984 breakthrough album, the title track of which in turn being her most classic song. The singer, whose birthname is Karen Greening, released seven hardrock albums between 1982-94. The earliest ones – like ‘Metal Queen’ – have a certified heavy metal-edge, whereas the later ones – like the bestseller “Bodyrock” (1989) – are slightly more melodic. In later years, Lee Aaron’s singing career has revolved around jazz and blues, with hard rock being seemingly a thing of the past… until now, that is. In 2011, the original Metal Queen makes her comeback at Sweden Rock Fest – her first ever concert on Swedish soil. A bona fide sensation for all fans of genuine 80s metal!
