Lillian Axe Prepare To Release ‘The Days Before Tomorrow’ On Valentine’s Day 2012
July 17, 2011
Lillian Axe are planning to release the follow-up to 2010’s ‘Deep Red Shadows’ on February 14, 2012. Tentatively titled ‘The Days Before Towmorrow’, the upcoming CD will be the first to feature new lead vocalist Brian Jones. The band — also comprising of Steve Blaze (guitar), Sam Poitevent (guitar), Eric Morris (bass) and Ken Koudelka (drums) — have released the following statement.
“We are locked away in Sound Landing Studios in Covington, LA recording our 11th album, called ‘The Days Before Tomorrow’. So far we have demoed 6 songs and recorded 2. We are going to have 11 or 12 songs on the new album. The vibe in the studio and the sound of the new album is very much in the vein and style of ‘Psychoschizophrenia’.
We were scheduled to release ‘The Days Before Tomorrow’ on September 27, 2011 but unfortunately we had some unexpected issues that occurred that were not our fault which resulted in us pushing our release date back to February 14, 2012. Yes, that is correct, Valentine’s Day. It is going to be a Valentine’s Day Massacre when the album hits the world.
Here is a sneak peek at some of the current song titles (always subject to change) from our new album: “Take The Bullet” (new version, different than the single download), “The Great Divide”, “Soul Disease”, “Black Skies”, “Caged In” and “Gather Up The Snow” to name some of the tracks.
Steve and the band have been working endless hours writing and recording in the studio to create the perfect Lillian Axe album. You will not be disappointed. Brian never sounded better and the band is in their perfect form. The chemistry has been amazing amongst us.
Now for some really cool news. We needed a break from the studio so we are going to play a special live show on August 2 in New Orleans, LA at the Parish Room in The House Of Blues with George Lynch and Lynch Mob. C’mon out to the show and say hello and hang out with us. It’s been way too long and we miss our fans.
Keep checking out the web site, www.lillianaxe.com, for updated news and tour dates. Yes we will be doing a few select tour dates in 2011 while we are recording.”
