Speaking exclusively to Sleaze Roxx, Troyan stated: “To me, friendship is one of the most important aspects of life. I love and value my friends. We’ve shared so many memories, through good times and bad times, and it just so happens that a lot of my friends are musicians. This album, in a way, is a snapshot of my friendship with these people, so whenever I listen to a certain song, I can say, “My buddy Tom Pappas is playing guitar on this. I remember hanging out with him at the 5 Spot and that was the day my fiance and I got together,” or, “I remember when Corey Linden and I used to jam in my grandparents’ basement when we were teenagers.” This album is a way of solidifying those great friendships and great memories into a recording that will exist forever, but unlike a photograph, a song has the ability to change and breath over time, so the life and energy of that friendship will forever thrive. So, in a lot of ways, this album is a celebration of friendship.
This album features every live guitarist Lipstick has ever had, except for one. Even when people leave Lipstick, for personal reasons or for other artistic pursuits, they’re still part of the family. They still come to jam on albums and still come to do shows with us, and it’s great that we can still create great music as friends. We’ve also got cool guests from friends of mine who have never played with Lipstick, but were still kind enough to lend their talents.
There are so many great guests appearing on this album, and I’m truly humbled that all of these people want to share in helping me achieve my dreams. From the bottom of my heart, I say thank you to all of them. And to the fans, the people anticipating this album, let me tell you this: It’s going to rock. You will not want to miss this.”
