LITA FORD PARTIES LIKE IT’S 1989:

Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood Rocks for the Cure
Strapped with a Stoli Vodka inspired guitar, ’80s lady Lita Ford proved she’s still got insane guitar chops at Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood on Thursday. The event was presented by Hard Rock International’s Pinktober campaign, which raises awareness and funds for breast cancer research throughout October. Proceeds benefited Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Miami/Fort Lauderdale Chapter. This cause is especially close to Ford’s heart. She lost her mom Isabella “Lisa” Ford to breast cancer in 1990. During the event, Ford belted out old hits such as “Close My Eyes Forever,” “Hungry” and “Kiss Me Deadly” while fans sipped pink cocktails and reminisced about the decade of excess when everyone had more hair and money.
Metromix.com went backstage to find out what Ford’s been up to lately. “I just filmed a video jamming with Twisted Sister that’ll be out later this month. They dressed me up in a bondage outfit,” Ford laughed. “It’s a holiday duet with Dee Snider, ‘I’ll Be Home For Christmas.'” Ford is also recording a new album with her husband Jim Gillette. “We’ve already written 20 songs,” Ford said. “It’s going to be harder and sexier than anything I’ve ever done.”
