Lita Ford’s New Album ‘The Healing’ Based Around Ugly Divorce With Jim Gillette
February 1, 2011
Lita Ford recently revealed to Frankie DiVita, radio personality for 96.7 KCAL Rocks, that her new album ‘The Healing’ will be loosely based on her “ugly divorce” with former Nitro frontman Jim Gillette. The couple was married in 1994 and have two sons, James and Rocco Gillette.
Says Lita about her new CD, “I’m going through a divorce right now, it’s a really ugly divorce, so the album is based around people and their problems — whether it’s divorce, or whether it’s a sickness or whether they lost a job. The album’s called ‘The Healing’ and it’s all based around those sort of of things — sickness, cancer, loss, divorce. It’s not going to be a depressing album. So far the songs are really upbeat. I think a lot of people will be able to relate.”
In the interview, viewable below, Lita Ford also talks about writing a book, producing a movie and Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp.
