Live Nation planning on postponing current touring arena shows through the end of March 2020
With the worldwide concern about the spread of the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Virus and especially in large gatherings, Live Nation will be postponing its current touring arena shows through at least the end of this month. Live Nation will apparently be re-evalaating its position for shows in April 2020 and beyond.
The following is an excerpt from a Billboard article posted earlier today:
“Earlier Thursday (March 12) the company told employees it is recognizing large gatherings around the world are being canceled and the company will be postponing current touring arena shows through the end of the month. Some select shows will play out over the next few days, but the remainder of the concerts will be postponed.
Live Nation is also instructing its employees to work remotely and not come into the office. The company’s Beverly Hills headquarters will be mostly closed until the end of March.”
Live Nation touring shows that are scheduled for later this year include Bon Jovi with opener Bryan Adams; Guns N’ Roses; The Stadium Tour featuring Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts; and, The Big Rock Summer Tour featuring Ratt, Tom Keifer, Skid Row and Slaughter.
