MARC FORD TO PRODUCE THE STEEPWATER BAND:

April 16, 2008

Former Black Crowes member Marc Ford is about to go back into the studio to produce The Steepwater Band. It will be his first production job since the recent album from Ryan Bingham.

The Steepwater Band will record the album at Compound Studios in LA. They have already given the album the tentative title of ‘Grace & Melody’.

The Steepwater Band’s last album was ‘Revelation Sunday’ from 2006.

They meet Ford in mid 2007 when both acts were performing at a festival in Spain. Marc’s son Elijah has also jammed with The Streetwater Band.

Ford was a member of the Black Crowes for several years in the 90s. Since leaving the band, he has recorded solo works and worked with ben Harper. Last year he produced Bingham’s ‘Mescalito’ for Lost Highway Records.

The Streetwater Band formed 10 years ago in Chicago. They have released three albums to date.
