Maryann Cotton has to cancel rest of US shows as bassist Hal Patino needs to get back to Denmark
Maryann Cotton has been on tour in North American since July 6, 2018 with three dates in Canada and six or seven dates in the USA. At the beginning of the tour, Maryann Cotton announced that bassist Hal Patino, who also happens to be the father of frontman Maryann Cotton, had suffered a mild heart attack which meant that he was unable to come with the band to Canada. By July 9th, Patino had rejoined his bandmates on the tour. However, Maryann Cotton now has to cancel his remaining US shows consisting of at The Boardwalk in Orangevale, California, USA tonight (on July 26, 2018) and the Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood, California, USA on July 27, 2018.
The following message was posted on Maryann Cotton‘s Facebook page earlier today:
Maryann Cotton & band :
As you already know, the whole band is currently in Hollywood, CA. We would like to take a minute to thank each and everyone that has supported us and has come out to our shows. As we have mentioned before, our bass player and my father Hal Patino has been having problems with his health. We are happy to announce that he is fine and doing well but due to a few unfortunate circumstances we must get him back to Copenhagen Denmark as soon as possible, so unfortunately we are unable to play the rest of the shows. We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused anyone. I know this is going to disappoint a lot of fans but the situation is out of our control. Please believe that this is the last thing we wanted to happen. We hope you can understand and we will be back soon!”
