Maxwell’s Concerts & Events in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada unveils ‘Maxwell’s Recovery Fundraiser’

Canadian concert venue Maxwell’s Concerts & Events has come up with an original way to raise some funds to assist with its plans to reopen its doors after having had to shut down for almost a year and a half due to the Covid pandemic and various restrictions imposed on businesses in Canada.

The following message was posted on Maxwell’s Concerts & Events‘ Facebook page yesterday:

“As everyone knows, the past year and a half has been extremely challenging for small businesses, especially on those where social distancing and alternative business operations are not possible. The doors at Maxwell’s have been closed since our last event on March 13, 2020. We have been working diligently to make sure that our business is operational this coming fall to once again host concerts and events for our incredibly valued patrons.

We have created the “Maxwell’s Recovery Fundraiser” in order to assist us with our re-launch. We are offering the opportunity for our friends to become a part of Maxwell’s history! Through a tiered donation approach, you can have your name (family name, or company name) printed on a high quality 12-inch vinyl record decal (3.2mil vinyl adhesive sticker) that will be permanently placed on our walls for everyone to see!

Diamond, Platinum, Gold & Black vinyl record decals are available to anyone who would like to be a part of our fundraising campaign.

We understand that there are many of our friends who are not in a position to donate and we look forward to seeing you at a show in the future!

From the entire Maxwell’s team, we sincerely thank you for your ongoing support and can’t wait to see you back at the venue!❤️🤘

Sleaze Roxx has attended a number of concerts at Maxwell’s Concerts & Events pre-Covid in prior years including:

The Lazys on October 19, 2018;

Steel Panther with opener The Wild! on September 25, 2018;

Airbourne with opener The Wild! on October 4, 2016; and,

Steel Panther with opener Diemonds on July 12, 2016.

Sleaze Roxx stated the following about Maxwell’s Concerts & Events in one of its concert reviews: “The Maxwell’s venue by the way looked fantastic with what seemed like a big rectangle shape in front of the stage and an all general admission area kind of separated by a bar on one side and the sound area in the middle of the room.”
