Maxxwell Releasing ‘Slapshot’ EP On October 19th
August 17, 2012
Maxxwell recently wrote the official stadium song for German hockeyclub Freiburg. The song is called “Slapshot” and is a great ‘smasher’ that fits perfectly for hockey sports. The band will shoot a videoclip for the song that will feature the members wearing hockey uniforms and trying to display their athletic qualities.
Due to the collaboration with EHC Freiburg, Maxxwell will release an EP called ‘Slapshot’ on October 19th, 2012. There will be four new songs and some songs recorded live from this year’s show at the Rock Of Ages Festival. The CDs will be in stores October 19th, so watch out for it!
The band wanted to take things easy and totally focus on the EP and the new album, but they couldn’t turn down the following request. The ‘Iron Drivers’ celebrate their 30 year anniversary and Maxxwell have been asked to play at their celebration. So, those of you who want to see Maxxwell live again this year, should come to Willisau on November 24th, 2012.
Maxxwell released their last studio album ‘All In’ on February 18th, 2011 through Fastball Music. Maxxwell’s debut album ‘Dogz On Dope’ earned a lot of great reviews, both at home and abroad, as did their shows, when they supported metal legend U.D.O. Dirkschneider (formerly of Accept) in Europe.
