Michael Anthony reports “nothing is happening” in terms of him reuniting with Van Halen at this time

With former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony attending this year’s NAMM conference in Anaheim, California, USA and all of the rumours swirling around a possible reunion of the original Van Halen line-up consisting of Anthony, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen and singer David Lee Roth, Anthony was of course asked about a Van Halen reunion when he was recently interviewed by Music Radar.

Anthony advised (as transcribed by Sleaze Roxx and see 4:15 mark of video below): “You know, like I said, I’m a ‘never say never’ guy and at this point, I don’t know what kind of rumours are floating around or whatever, but I personally haven’t been contacted by them yet or anything. So, at this point, nothing really, nothing is happening but you never know.”

Anthony last played live with Van Halen in 2004 when the Van Halen brothers toured with Anthony and singer Sammy Hagar.
