Michael Grant + The Assassins announce record deal with Frontiers Music Srl
Former L.A. Guns guitarist Michael Grant took to Facebook today to share an exciting announcement for Michael Grant + The Assassins in that the group has signed a record deal with Frontiers Music Srl.
Grant stated as follows in his Facebook message below (as transcribed by Sleaze Roxx):
“What’s going on everybody. Michael Grant here and today, I have a very exciting announcement to make. That announcement is Michael Grant and The Assassins are officially Frontiers Records recording artists. That’s right. It’s official. We’re excited to get everything started with Frontiers, excited to finish our record. I’m really happy that we could share this news with you guys. Thank you for sticking by us. Thank you for your love and your support. Thank you for your understanding and we’ll see you out on the road. Peace out from Michael Grant and The Assassins.”
Back in March 2018, it was suddenly announced that Grant was out of L.A. Guns featuring singer Phil Lewis and guitarist Tracii Guns. Although L.A. Guns announced that Grant left the band, Grant took the position that he had been fired. Later on, Lewis started badmouthing Grant. In an interview with Sleaze Roxx in March 2019, Lewis stated as follows: “Well, I mean, working with him was little bit like running a marathon with a stone in my shoe.” In mid-April 2019, Lewis made the following comments on Facebook: “I found Michael to be a narcissist sociopath and after countless warnings to modify his behavior I just woke up and realized we need the kind of energy and teamwork that somebody like Ace v Johnson brings to the band. K” Lewis went on to add: “If Michael wants to “stand out” I’ve given him the perfect opportunity I kept him busy working and making money for 5 years. He got a record deal and a slot on the cruise off my back and has still yet to Stand out so I’m confident in saying you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.”
