Michael Sweet And George Lynch Release “September” Lyric Video

September 10, 2014

Stryper frontman Michael Sweet and Dokken/Lynch Mob guitarist George Lynch have teamed up on an album scheduled for release in February 2015. The duo, along with former White Lion bassist James LoMenzo and ex-Whitesnake drummer Brian Tichy, have launched a lyric video for the album’s opening song “September”.

The poignant song reflects on one of the most tragic events in American history — 9/11 — with the lyric video featuring a waving American flag serving as the initial backdrop before giving the way to the words, which are depicted with city skyline graphics.

Sweet tells Loudwire of the track, “The song September was written as a simple reminder to stand strong against our adversaries and even more important, to stand united. We are resilient and although we have faced some of the most horrific events imaginable, we will rise above all due to our spirit, love, bravery and determination. Love conquers hate and that will never change.”

The debut album was recorded in early 2014 with Sweet overseeing production duties. This is the first of a number of new exciting band projects put together personally by Serafino Perugino, President and Head of A&R of Frontiers Records.
