Mick Mars was shoved to the ground by an unruly fan last night when the band performed at Estevan, Saskatchewan’s Spectra Place, but the Motley Crue guitarist escaped the ordeal injury free.
Motley Crue were performing “Primal Scream” when the fan jumped on stage, pushed Mars to the ground and grabbed singer Vince Neil before being tackled by security. Once order was restored drummer Tommy Lee shouted, “What the fuck is wrong with you, you fucking idiot?” While Mars was being helped offstage Neil stated, “We might be back”, and the band did eventually return to finish their set.
Today Mars went to Twitter to reassure fans by stating, “Thank all of you for your concerns about me being knocked down last night, I’m alright nothing broken. My body guard Rhyno got 2 busted ribs.”
Motley Crue are currently embarking on their largest Canadian tour ever. The tour kicked off on April 20th and will run through May 14th when the band wraps up the tour in the nation’s capital. In September the Crue will return to Las Vegas for their second residency at the Hard Rock Hotel, performing a total of 12 shows.
