Midnite City release lyric video for “Ghosts Of My Old Friends”

Midnite City featuring current Tigertailz lead vocalist Rob Wylde have released a lyric video for their song “Ghosts Of My Old Friends” from their self-titled debut album, which was released via AOR Heaven on October 20, 2017.

Wylde was recently interviewed by Comebackstage and explained how the band got formed as he stated: “After my previous band of thirteen years called it a day at the end of last year I knew the time was right to finally do the Hair Metal album I’d been promoting myself to make for years and years so I got down to work and wrote the album. As far as the band is concerned, I decided to do things the opposite way around and rather than get a band together first, I wanted to get a deal first then form the band around it afterwards and that’s pretty much what happened. My basic idea was to record three of the songs to album quality standard and see if I could get a deal with them.”

I obviously needed a producer so I started asking around about who was good to work with and the name that kept cropping up was Pete Newdeck’s (Eden’s Curse, Newman, Tainted Nation). Pete and I had played the first Rockingham festival together as part of Issa’s solo band in 2015 so we met there and got along really well.

Fast forward to Rockingham 2016 and I bumped into Pete again and told him about my plan. Pete was up for doing the demos with me, so in January of this year I went down to his studio and we recorded ‘Think About You’, ‘Summer Of Our Lives’ and ‘Nothing’s Like Losing You’. From there I spent about month shopping the songs around and in the end got four offers on the table for Midnite City, eventually signing with AOR Heaven. From that point on, Pete jumped on board as drummer alongside Miles Meakin on guitar, Shawn Charvette on keyboards and more recently, Josh Williams on bass and the band was born.”
