Mitch Malloy undergoes emergency surgery and performs less than 24 hours later
Former Van Halen frontman candidate Mitch Malloy recently underwent emergency surgery on July 5, 2017 before performing less than 24 hours later.
The following message was posted by Malloy on his Facebook page yesterday:
“I don’t like being all drama and complaining on fb but I feel like I should post this. Wed was the worst day of my life. I was choking from 8:00 AM on two flights till I ended up in the ER in Dickinson ND at 8:00 pm and had emergency surgery on my Esophagus which is damaged from being too small. They opened it up got rid of the blockage and pumped me full of drugs so I could perform less then 24 hours later which I did. I want to thank the dr Brook Nelson and the Amazing staff for finally discovering what has been wrong with me my whole life and essentially saving my life. I need more procedures done and I’m recovering now but I feel lucky to be alive. 🙂 Ok back to the rock..”
Malloy recently released a new solo album entitled Making Noise back in August 2016. Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its review of Making Noise: “If you’re looking for a balls out heavy metal album, don’t look here. This is a complex, well thought out and amazingly produced piece of genius. A true rock album in itself. If that’s what you’re looking for, please do yourself a favour and purchase this album as you will not be disappointed.”
