As Mötley Crüe and Sixx:A.M. bassist Nikki Sixx fires up the PR machine for his upcoming projects with his latest book The First 21 – How I Became Nikki Sixx arriving October 19th, while Sixx:A.M.‘s compilation album Hits drops three days later, some interesting bits of behind-the-scenes news is trickling out.
As recently reported by the LA Times, Sixx and his Mötley Crüe bandmates invited David Lee Roth to be on The Stadium Tour bill. Roth passed, reportedly telling Sixx, “I don’t open for bands that I influenced.”
The much-delayed The Stadium Tour featuring Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, and recently announced Classless Act, is set to rock stadiums across the US next summer. It was originally supposed to start on June 18, 2020 but the entire tour has been delayed two summers in a row due to the ongoing Covid pandemic.
There is no word on what slot Diamond Dave would have had.
