Motley Crue’s Vince Neil Still Rocking The Legal System
MOTLEY CRUE’S VINCE NEIL STILL ROCKING THE LEGAL SYSTEM:
December 15, 2008
Motley Crue singer Vince Neil and band manager Allen Kovac have once again been sued here in Nashville. The latest complaint, filed in District Court, is part of an ongoing feud between Neil and Nashville-based business manager Burt Stein.
The lawsuit, which seeks to enforce a management agreement between Stein and Neil, again asserts that Stein is in fact Neil’s manager and therefore entitled to a percentage of the singer’s compensation.
Back in June, similar lawsuits were filed both in Nashville Federal Court and in Los Angeles.
In Los Angeles, Kovac and the band sued Stein while, on the same day, Stein fired back in Nashville.
The Los Angeles lawsuit maintained that Stein used to manage the band itself and that he is entitled to nothing now that the band has switched to a new manager. Stein, however, maintains that the management agreement between him and Neil is still valid and that he is entitled to compensation.
Again filing the lawsuit on behalf of Stein are Samuel D. Lipshie, and Colin J. Carnahan of Boult Cummings.
