New band Doll Hazard consisting of Suicide Bombers and Dirtbag Republic singers to release debut album

Sleaze Roxx is pleased to publicly announce for the first time that SUiCiDE BOMBERS lead vocalist / guitarist Chris Damien Doll and Dirtbag Republic lead vocalist / drummer Sandy Hazard have combined forces to form the new band Doll Hazard, which will release their debut album Transatlantic Meltdown reportedly in a few weeks.

The group’s press release states:

“From the west coast of Canada to the heart of Norway comes a Transatlantic Meltdown of epic proportions.

Sleaze merchants Chris Damien Doll and Sandy Hazard have joined forces to create a two year in the making, 10 song stomping wallop, that unmercifully takes the listener to the depths of the gutter on their debut album DOLL HAZARDTransatlantic Meltdown.

Both Doll and Hazard are coming off successfully critically acclaimed albums with their respective bands, Dirtbag RepublicDowntown Eastside (Apr. 2017) & Suicide BombersSuicide Idols (Apr. 2017).

The indie veterans have been long time friends and have bandied around recording something together over the years. That finally came to fruition in January with recording finishing up at the end of June.

The 10 songs were a collaborative effort written over a 2-month period with Doll handling guitars and bass and Hazard handling drum duties and the two splitting the vocals between them.

The two made a pact to only bring their A-game and create the filthiest slab of plastic that they could muster. The record was created in complete isolation 4500 miles from one and other. Regardless of that distance, Doll & Hazard communicated via text and email and still managed to create exactly what they had envisioned. A front to back kick ass rock n’ roll epic so full of attitude it’s splitting at the seams.

Dolls‘ formative years were spent swinging his axe with glamour punk kids Trashcan Darlings before moving on to the Suicide Bombers and punk band Ronny Pøbel. Hazard‘s tooth is a bit longer and he misspent his youth destroying drum kits with Vancouver’s Pretty Boy Floyd, Grandma Moses and bubble punk masters MCRACKINS. Both are influenced by Hanoi Rocks, Sex Pistols, KISS, Mötley Crüe and all kinds of rowdy punk rock.

Doll Hazard‘s Transatlantic Meltdown will be a CD only release available on TrainWreckords.”

Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its review of Suicide Bombers‘ latest album Suicide Dolls featuring Doll: “… it’s worth emphasizing that all of the songs (except for “Sex Star Icon”) on Suicide Idols are really good, catchy (despite Doll‘s raspy vocals) and very well crafted. I’m thinking this year’s Sleaze Roxx’s Top Ten Albums may need to be expanded to a top 20 because there are way too many very strong releases this year and we’re not even halfway through the year. And oh yeah, Suicide Idols is one of this year’s very strong releases.”

With respect to Dirtbag Republic‘s second and latest album Downtown Eastside featuring Hazard, Sleaze Roxx stated the following in its review: “Dirtbag Republic‘s debut album came awfully close to making the Sleaze Roxx’s Top Ten Albums of 2015. This time around and at this time, Dirtbag Republic‘s sophomore album Downtown Eastside is a virtual shoo-in for the Sleaze Roxx’s Top Ten Albums of 2017. I say “at this time” because we haven’t even completed a third of the year and we have already had some absolutely amazing albums come down the pike. If you like faster paced Hanoi Rocks and/or Michael Monroe songs, or simply great fucking rock n’ roll, picking up Dirtbag Republic‘s Downtown Eastside is a must.”

Stay tuned for an upcoming interview by Sleaze Roxx with Doll Hazard!
