New Steel Panther bassist Spyder reveals Lexxi Foxx was his favourite character in the band

New Steel Panther bassist Spyder was recently interviewed by Glen Walker (W.A.L.K.E.R frontman) for the Tales of a KISS Geek podcast. Spyder was promoting Steel Panther‘s upcoming sixth studio album On The Prowl, which will be released on February 24, 2023. Back in September 2022, Steel Panther consisting of frontman Michael Starr, guitarist Satchel and drummer Stix Zadinia announced after a more than one year search that Spyder would be replacing long-time bassist Lexxi Foxx (who left the band in July 2021).

With respect to Foxx, Spyder indicated (as provided by Tales of a KISS Geek): “Lexxi Foxx was my favourite character, one of my best friends, I love the guy to death…”

In terms of actually replacing Foxx in Steel Panther, Spyder stated: “That’s a big spot to step into and you don’t know how the fans are gonna react. Of course, he was my favourite character. Every time I would go watch them, I would always watch Lexxi Foxx and I would tell him after shows that I saw him do this, saw him do that and he’d be like ‘You saw that?! You saw that? That’s amazing!’ and I’d be like ‘Of course, I’m watching you. You make me laugh so hard every time.’ And the little subtleties that he would do were just so genius and so great and then on top of it, I never heard him make any mistakes…”
