March 30, 2005

MARK SLAUGHTER OF SLAUGHTER – “SHOWS WITH SKID ROW AND NEW STUDIO DISC FOR 2005”.

Slaughter vocalist Mark Slaughter recently spoke with The Hairball John Radio Show about his days fronting The Vinnie Vincent Invasion; the early days of Slaughter; the highs and lows of his career; and the state of today’s music industry. Mark also discussed Slaughters plans for 2005.

Hairball John Radio Show: “Mark, you are part of the VH1 Classic: Metal Mania Stripped CD and you are lending your vocal talents on an upcoming Michael Schenker project, what else is in the works for 2005?”

Mark Slaughter: “Well, there are a lot of things going on. For one we will be doing fly date in the US and overseas and some shows with Skid Row. It seems that we are doing several shows with them this year, which we have never done before, and they are a good bunch of guys so we are looking forward to doing that. We’re also working on a new Slaughter CD, we are just underway doing that. It’s very exciting, there are a lot of different things going on, it should be very interesting when the CD is done, and what will happen with that.”

Hairball John Radio Show: “Are you anticipating an early 2006 release for the new disc?”

Mark Slaughter: “I think we’ll have it out this year. It doesn’t take us very long. Most people don’t realize that even ‘Stick It To Ya’ was written relatively fast. In fact ‘Back To Reality’ was written, recorded and produced within a two and a half month period. There wasn’t even a lick written for it before we stepped into the studio. It’s what we do and where we come from.”
