AC/DC’s Family Jewels has debuted at number one on DVD charts in America, England, France, Italy, Norway Austria.

The two disc set is the first ever documentary collection of early television performances, video clips and never-before seen footage.

Disc One is devoted to the Bon Scott era and dates back to an early appearance on television show Countdown with AC/DC performing ‘Baby Please Don’t Go’ featuring Bon Scott in a schoolgirl uniform.

Disc Two centers around Brian Johnston. It captures a 10 year era from the Back In Black album in 1980 and finishes with the ‘Are You Ready’ clip from 1991.

A statement today released by the band’s record label Albert Music reads ‘Albert Music proudly announces that the “Family Jewels” DVD by AC/DC has entered the American, British, French, Italian, Norwegian and Austrian charts at Number 1 in it’s first week of release. We are waiting on chart information from Germany and Spain where it’s also trending towards number 1. The DVD is released in Australia on Sunday April 10th”.
