Guns www.laguns.net, Stephen Pearcy www.stephenpearcy.com, Wednesday 13 www.wednesday13.com (comprised of members from the Murderdolls, SLIPKNOT & DOPE). The show is supported locally by Havok www.havokband.com and Moore www.mooremetal.net
This event is sponsored by VH1, Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli & Breckenridge Brewery and produced by MOD Productions.
The following tour information is provided for background information:
The legendary W.A.S.P. will be headlining the trek in support of their current Sanctuary Records release The Neon God Part 2 – The Demise. This follow up to the critically acclaimed The Neon God Part 1 – The Rise is garnering rave reviews and completes the bands two part opus. In addition to performing the new material, W.A.S.P. will be reaching into their expansive catalog of classic material. Always unpredictable leader Blackie Lawless is promising a full stage show and with his undisputed track record as one of metals premier live performers anything is possible…
Also on board are L.A. Guns, who have been bringing their distinctive brand of metal to audiences for close to 20 years. Widely known for their raucous live shows, expect to hear their standards “The Ballad Of Jayne,” “Rip & Tear,” “Sex Action” and more. Vocalist Phil Lewis has one of the most distinctive set of pipes in the genre. In an ironic twist, drummer Steven Riley was the drummer for W.A.S.P. for their first few albums and says he is excited to get the chance to tour with his former bandmate!
As lead singer of the seminal band RATT, Stephen Pearcy established himself as one of metals most popular and controversial frontmen. On this tour he will be performing a special all RATT set to commemorate the June release of his Cleopatra Records release RAT Attack, in which he has re-recorded his former bands multi-platinum greatest hits such as “Round And Round,” “Lay It Down,” “Back For More” and “Way Cool Jr.” There is only one way to hear these classics done properly and that is with the voice that made them famous in the first place! Pearcy will also be issuing a solo effort titled “Fueler” in May.
Also on the bill will be none other than Wednesday 13, who has created quite a niche for himself as a solo artist while his “other” band Murderdolls (who also feature members of SLIPKNOT and DOPE) are taking a break. Fans of Rob Zombie, AFI, Alkaline Trio, the aforementioned Murderdolls as well as metal, punk and horror in general will find Wednesday 13 both refreshing and outrageous. With his sallow complexion and raven dreadlocks he may appear like a grim goth but the singer/guitarist is more a throwback to the days of Alice Cooper and Twisted Sister, when rock music had no more pretentious aspirations than being over the top, escapist fun.
