OVERVIEW:

There is one golden rule to the self-conception of all Southern rock bands: the absolute truth lies on stage. Independent of the state of mind (or health) of the protagonists, in scorching heat, gusty wind, torrential rain or other climatic imponderabilities, the artists aim to inspire their fans with every show. Alongside Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers, Molly Hatchet are among the bands that have made this philosophy their own, giving their best night after night. Even if they, like every other rock group who has been in this business as long as they have, have gone through many difficult phases in their career: you will find yourself looking in vain for witnesses to a disappointing Molly Hatchet show. Live, the band members surrounding mastermind and guitarist Bobby Ingram have always been and will continue to be a power to be reckoned with as proven by their first DVD incl. Bonus Live CD, “Live In Hamburg”, due out on September 26, 2005, and recorded under the very best of conditions.

The focal point of “Live In Hamburg” is a show at the Hamburg Harley Days on July 24, 2004. With infectious enthusiasm, Molly Hatchet performed a set featuring almost all of their classics, treating the audience to a dynamic and exhilarating show. This atmospheric spirit was caught perfectly by various cameras, a big camera crane high above the audience among them, capturing the intensity of a Molly Hatchet show for your very own TV screen. The DVD also includes additional bonus material consisting of interviews, recordings from the backstage area and the tour bus, plus comments from Southern legend Charlie Daniels and a chapter entitled “Molly Hatchet in their own words”.
