IRON MAIDEN TO RELEASE LIVE 2-CD SET ‘DEATH ON THE ROAD’ ON OCTOBER 4thTHROUGH SANCTUARY RECORDS
PACKAGE CAPTURES GERMAN CONCERT FROM 2003 ‘DANCE OF DEATH’ TOUR.
British Metal legends IRON MAIDEN will release the double live CD ‘DEATHON THE ROAD’ on October 4th, 2005, through Sanctuary Records.
‘Death On The Road’ chronicles Iron Maiden’s December 2003 sold out showat the 14,000 capacity Westfalenhalle Arena in Dortmund, Germany, on theEuropean leg of their ‘Dance Of Death’ World Tour, one of the mosttheatrical spectacles undertaken by the band in many years.
This CD release precedes the forthcoming ‘Death on The Road’ DVD of theconcert, which band founder, bassist and perfectionist Steve Harris isstill personally working on. The show was recorded and filmed during theDance of Death European Tour in December 2003 and fully captures themagnificent stage production and electricity of the band’s performance.
Says Manager Rod Smallwood, “Like Rock in Rio we have again decided torelease a DVD and CD separately. Those who have DVD players willpresumably opt for the DVD when available but we wanted to ensure thatMaiden fans could at least get the audio of this tour as many don’thave DVD players yet and some countries of the World do not havewidespread capacity to play DVDs.”
