The sibling-led quartet kicks off the tour in Hartford, CT on November 1, 2005.

They’re playing rock that’s straight across the board, the kind that shakes the floor and somehow invites the tossing of underthings. — Style Weekly

Mardo will join hard rock mavericks King’s X starting November 1, 2005 for a tour that will take them coast to coast and everywhere in between! The Los Angeles-based band — led by Aron and Robert Mardo — play loud, unapologetic, swaggering rock with raging vocals, thunderous drums and fist-punching anthems. The LA Times “Buzz Band” is on a roll after playing for hundreds of thousands of people in Germany at the MTV-sponsored Rock AM Ring music festival this summer and were even tapped to open for R.E.M. the next night in Austria.

From their vintage guitars to the long, flowing hair associated with the rock gods of yore, Mardo has an eye-catching retro style that is instantly recognizable. The pantsuits and steel-toed boots are on full display in the video for their new single, Anyone But Me, off their self-titled debut. The song is a ferocious kiss-off to an old flame and the video is just as rousing, an assault on the senses that is impossible to take your eyes off of.
