Rock Stars and Modern Artists join forces for an amazing art exhibit in remembrance of Dimebag Darrell Abbott and to support music education.

SIX-STRING MASTERPIECES:THE DIMEBAG DARRELL ART TRIBUTE is:

– A collection of 50 guitars, HAND-PAINTED by world-famous Rock Stars and internationally known Modern Artists.
– A Charitable Art Auction to benefit a Foundation dedicated to music, education and improving the lives of today’s youth.
– A travelling Entertainment Attraction hitting major US markets in 2006.
– A highly-publicized tour that will feature an Art Opening Party and VIP Reception in each city attended by participating artists, press, celebrities and entertainment industry personel.
– A great PR and human interest story.

This exhibit is of vital importance as it is a memorial tribute to one of the greatest guitarists of all time – DIMEBAG DARRELL ABBOTT, as well as a charitable art event featuring some of the biggest names in the music world.

This exhibit promises to be of massive popular appeal, as well as a great story for the music, art and mainstream media. Platinum selling Artists such as Rob Zombie, Moby, Billy Corgan, Korn, Dave Navarro, Van Halen, Kirk Hammett of Metallica, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters and Nirvana and SUM 41 have already signed on and the list of impressive artists is growing.

Six-String Masterpieces: The Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute will debut at Winter NAMM in Los Angeles,CA (Jan. 2006). NAMM is one of the world’s premiere events for the music industry. The exhibit will then go on tour to major US markets. The guitars will be auctioned off with proceeds going to a foundation dedicated to furthering music education. This is going to be huge.

The exhibit was conceived and curated by Curse Mackey, in collaboration with Dean Zelinsky, founder of Dean Guitars. Mackey is the co-producer of the Woodstock Tattoo & Body Arts Festival, America’s only town-wide tattoo and music festival. He has produced numerous art exhibits, including shows by Academy Award winning Swiss Surrealist, HR GIGER (‘Alien’), as well as the highly successful “RIDES OF PASSAGE” Snowboard Art Exhibit with the world’s best-selling snowboard company, Burton Snowboards. He recently designed and published a hardback book on the Rides of Passage Exhibit.
