HELP A&E’S ULTIMATE KISS FAN WRITE THE ULTIMATE TRIBUTE SONG:

December 19, 2006

Bob Brunson, The Ultimate KISS Fan as seen on A&E/Gene Simmon’s Family Jewels, has launched a website and portal for a fan-based song-writing project and promotion called…”Friends With Painted Faces.”

Brunson is asking KISS fans everywhere to use the website form to email him their reasons for loving KISS. Brunson will then use this input to compose and record a tribute song for the band. “This was one of several ideas I’d mentioned to Gene during the taping of Family Jewels, and something I feel is extremely appropriate for a band that has meant so much to its fans for such a long time now, including me!” said Brunson. While not yet officially endorsed by KISS, Brunson hopes to position the song for possible usage in Family Jewels Season #2 or other forthcoming KISS projects like Gene’s Box Set. Brunson is also in discussions with several notable industry people and/or artists to assist with production. “Given where KISS is in its career, as well as Gene’s promotional savvy, I want to really maximize the visibility and credibility of the project.” Brunson plans to start writing in January, and hopes to be in the studio by the end of March.

“KISS fans are the most loyal in the industry, almost to the point of being family! So this kind of promotion, which I believe is the first of its kind, is also a perfect fit!” said Brunson Additionally, KISS fans that live in Orange County California and write in will have a chance to possibly be included in a Southern California-based magazine feature coming out in January 2007 about this project.
