February 6, 2007
15 years ago, San Francisco rockers, Jetboy, had a break up that left manyfans wondering if they’d ever see the group return to action again. But in2005, the band was asked to headline a one-off show for the ‘HollywoodRocks’ audio companion box set release party at the Key Club in LosAngeles. With a few phone calls to each other, all original membersaccepted the offer to do the show. With only three rehearsals under theirbelts and sounding better than ever, the band received an overwhelmingresponse on June 22nd from a sold out crowd. “We were blown away on howwell we went over & the energy from the crowd,” guitarist Fernie Rodexplained. Then unexpectedly, the band was offered a deal with Cleopatrarecords soon after they finished their set. Accepting the offer in 2006,they talked about putting the band back together and giving it another run.The band booked a hometown show along with another Hollywood date at theWhiskey a-Go-Go and began talking about ideas and the new release. A fewmonths later, the band was then approached by good friend, Riki Rachtman,to play the Cathouse 20 year reunion party this past October 2006. Sharingthe stage again along side their ol’ pals Faster Pussycat, LA Guns, BangTango & Gilby Clarke nearly 20 years later, Jetboy rocked another greatset.
With an outstanding response from just 4 shows, the band knew it felt rightto do it again. The upcoming new release will include a chronologicalcollection of demos along with a re-recorded version of their hit single’Feel The Shake’.
