Metal Mania lives and is on its way to the Sunset Strip!
On Wednesday, March 7th, some of Metal’s greatest acts of all-time — Queensryche, Tesla, Great White, Dokken and Jani Lane (formerly of Warrant) — will be convening at the famous Key Club on the Sunset Strip (located at 9039 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles) for an incredible record release party hosted by VH1 Classic and Sidewinder Music (www.sidewinder-music.com).
Each of the five artists will be performing a selection of their greatest hits acoustically in celebration of the new Sidewinder Music release, VH1 Classic Metal Mania Stripped Volume 3, which will hit the stores on Tuesday, March 6th.
Like its “Stripped” predecessors, the new CD will once again feature rare and never before heard acoustic versions of some of metal’s greatest songs by some of the genre’s biggest names (see list below).
VH1 Classic Metal Mania Stripped Volume 3 is actually the fourth release in the successful “Stripped” series following Volume I: The Ballads, Volume 2: The Anthems and the Metal Mania Stripped Across America Live! DVD.
All in all, Volume 3 features fifteen unforgettable tracks (ten of which have never been heard before), all of which have stood the test of time.
The forthcoming record release party promises to be full of hits (including the hit songs appearing on the new release), as the five featured artists have sold over 30 million albums collectively worldwide and boast a total of fourteen platinum and nine gold albums.
Open to the public, tickets to the special event are $20 (general admission) and $28 (general admission and a copy of the new CD) and available at the Key Club box office as well as all Ticketmaster outlets (including online via www.ticketmaster.com).
