TARA’S SECRET HANGS IT UP:
May 10, 2007
UK melodic rock band TARA’S SECRET will finish after a last rocking show this Saturday at The Moorfoot Tavern in Sheffield this Saturday 10th May – this will be an acoustic-ish evening with plenty of spare microphones for anyone who cares to joins in on vocals.
3 years, 2 albums, over 80 live shows, Fireworks, Powerplay, Burrn, Classic Rock magazines, rock radio worldwide, amazing online reviews, overseas online fan sites, but still so few coming along to see the band live at many of the shows and so few offers to support bigger bands within the melodic rock genre. Bad timing (work) led the band to turning down appearances at both Firefest and Z Rock, which would have introduced them to a wider audience, however many of those who were hungry for new exciting melodic rock music in 1988 are not that hungry today and this has eventually led to a couple of band members leaving the band for pastures new.
The band thanks everyone who has supported us through what has mostly been great fun these past 3 years. The acclaimed album “Tomorrow The World” continues to be onsale at the knockdown price of 6.00 (inc UK P&P) and (7.00 in overseas P&P) from www.taras-secret.com
Craig (guitar) & Glyn (drums) can now be found at www.tomorrowtheworld.co.uk, Johnny (vocals) at www.myspace.com/johnny_secret and singing for Sheffield band Storyteller’s Night, whilst lead guitarist Rich will soon be launching some of his solo material on www.rich5150.co.uk
