Saturday August 11th The Tommy Bolin Music Fest will celebrate the legacy of the late jazz fusion guitarist from Deep Purple, The James Gang, & Zephyr in Bolin’s hometown of Sioux City , Iowa . Bolin is perhaps best known in Jazz circles for his work on Billy Cobham’s Spectrum & Alphonse Mouzon’s Mind Transplant.

This years headliner will be Jim Dandy & Black Oak Arkansas with Johnnie Bolin. Saturday’s events will begin at 12:00 noon -12:00midnight outside The Chesterfield at 1225 Historic Fourth St. A $10.00 commemorative button good for admission can be purchased at the Chesterfield. Stan Sheldon of The Peter Frampton Band, Bobby Berge , Craig Erickson, & The Tommy Bolin Tribute Band. Ten bands for $10.00.

Wednesday August 8th we have a free Open Fan Jam night at The Chesterfield (1225 Historic Fourth Street, Sioux City, Iowa) . Fans can come and jam with the performers of Saturday’s Fest. Jim Dandy, Johnnie Bolin, & Black Oak Arkansas will be there plus many more, John Herdt, John Bartle, David Hare, Bobby Berge, Stan Sheldon, Roger Rothwell and others. Fans can jam with some of the performers of Saturday’s Fest, hang out with them, pictures, autographs, dining & dancing. Admission is FREE!

Thursday August 9th & Friday night August 10th at Strykers Lounge (Hotel bar at Quality Inn on 1401 Zenith Drive, 712-277-3211, or toll free 866-242-7989) we have a free open rehearsals where you can come watch the bands tune up for the big show. For those needing hotel rooms, there is a special rate of $59.99 offered to all who mention the Fest when they call. Shows start at 8:30 pm. Admission both nights is FREE!

Saturday August 11th, the Fest starts at noon and goes outdoors at The Chesterfield on Historic Fourth Street until midnight, then we move indoors until bar close. Charity auction, memorabilia, and a lot more stuff going on throughout the day. We have 10 bands including Black Oak Arkansas with Jim Dandy & Johnnie Bolin, The Craig Erickson Band, Scarlet Runner, Driving Rain, Mountain Ash, & The Tommy Bolin Tribute Band. Admission is $10.00.
