BOSTON REUNITES FOR TRIBUTE:
August 22, 2007
Members of Boston past and present were among those who joined forces to pay tribute to the band’s late frontman Brad Delp at a memorial concert on Sunday. More Than A Feeling singer Delp killed himself in March at the age of 55. He had been suffering from depression.
At the Bank Of America Pavilion event in Boston, Massachusetts, the group’s original members Tom Scholz, Barry Goudreau and Fran Sheehan reunited and took the stage to play Don’t Look Back together in honor of their departed friend.
Original Boston drummer Sib Hashian was also present, but didn’t perform.
Extreme rockers Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt entertained the crowd with their early ’90s hit More Than Words and a song they co-wrote with Delp last year.
Scholz said, “The best thing you can do to honor Brad is to have a great time.”
